We met on November 20, 2014 and boy did we have some good and some not so good food.

I used COOK LIKE A ROCK STAR cookbook ( I had used it once before and wanted to try some more recipes).  These are the two I used:

Risotto without a recipe on page 136
     It was easy to follow, not expensive and taste was UGH.  It needed a recipe. I would not even try to tweek this.

Spinach & Ricotta Gnocchi with Fontina Fonduta on page 134.
     It was easy to follow, expensive and taste was NOTHING SPECIAL.  Not worth the money spent on the cheese.

I also used NIGELLA KITCHEN

Tarragon Chicken on page 64.
     Easy to follow, not expensive and taste was VERY GOOD.  My only comment would be to make sure you don't brown the chicken just let it poach in the oil.

Maple Pecan Bundt Cake on page 239-242
     Easy to follow, not expensive and taste was WOW.  I would not change a thing.

Italian Tomato and Pasta Soup on page 470-471
       Easy to follow, not expensive and taste was a double UGH.  Just awful.

Ed's Mother's Meatloaf on page 458-460
     Easy to follow, not expensive and taste was NOTHING SPECIAL. 

Pumpkin Scones on page 451-452
     Easy to follow, not expensive and taste was VERY GOOD.  This is a savory scone so don't expect that sweet pumpkin taste.  It has a little bite to it from the Chili Oil.

Chicken Divan Casserole on page 58
  Easy to follow, not expensive and taste was VERY GOOD.  A delicious recipe.

Asian Style Pork on page 43.
     Easy to follow, not expensive and taste was WOW.

Fig Jam with Thyme
     Easy to follow, not expensive and taste was WOW.  Awesome recipe.

Mom Mom's Ricotta Gnocchi on page 104
     Easy to follow, expensive and taste was WOW.  Super easy and delicious.   

PRESERVING PINT

Bluberry Jam with Crystallized Ginger on page 69.
Easy to follow, expensive and taste was WOW.  Easy preserving recipes in small amounts.

Today we had some extra tasters.  Lynn, Peggy and Mary Jane agreed with the above taste conclusions.  They were not able to taste the Cook Like A Rock Star recipes or  

Nigella Kitchen Tarragon Chicken, Maple Pecan Bundt Cake and Italian Tomato and Pasta Soup.  I had made them a while ago and the chicken and the cake were all gone and the soup I had to throw out it was so yucky.
