On December 18th Mary Jane, Lynn, Ruby and I met and discussed the recipes we made.  Below are some pictures of the results.

These are from Last and Vintage Recipes cookbook.

These are from Italian Home Cooking cookbook.

This is from Sugar Impact Diet cookbook.

  This is from Allrecipes.com.

Last and Vintage cookbook
The first picture is Crumb Coffee Cake- easy to follow, not expensive, taste was VERY GOOD.  Ruby would use cloves or allspice in addition to the cinnamon.

The second picture is One Week Ginger Beer- easy to follow, not expensive, taste was WOW.  Ruby would not change a thing.

The third picture is Mary's Lemon-nutmeg Meltaways- easy to follow, not expensive and taste was WOW.  Ruby would not change a thing.

Ruby also did Old Fashioned Soda Crackers- easy to follow, not expensive and taste was NOTHING SPECIAL.

 Italian Home Cooking cookbook

The first picture is of Lentil Soup with Crumbled Sausage and Ditalini Pasta- easy to follow, not expensive and taste was VERY GOOD.  The second picture with the soup is Turkey Meatballs with Lemon Sauce- easy to follow, not expensive and taste was VERY GOOD, just be careful when adding the lemon juice- don't add all of it at one time, add a little and taste then add a little more if needed until it tastes right to you.

The second picture is Nonna Clia's Apple Cake- easy to follow, not expensive and taste was NOTHING SPECIAL- It needed something more- maybe some apple brandy drizzled on top.

I also made Bread Pasticcio- easy to follow, not expensive and taste was GOOD- watch how much broth you pour over the bread and use a hardy bread.

Sugar Impact Diet

The picture is Cherry-Berry Fruit Salad with Shaved Dark Chocolate- easy to follow, not expensive and taste was GOOD.  Mary Jane says it was difficult to locate Monk fruit extract and that the recipes in the book are cost prohibitive because of location and finding grain fed meats and Whole Foods markets.

 Allrecipes.com

The picture is Easy Slow Cooker Meatballs-easy to follow, not expensive and taste was GOOD.  Lynn says the amount of breadcrumbs was way off.  Reviews also said so.  Lynn added some ricotta cheese, about 2 tablespoons along with breadcrumbs.
